Chastain Park July 4th Parade
July 4, 2018 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Sponsored by: Kazoo Toys, Learning Express and Snip-its
The Chastain Park Civic Association invites you to celebrate our nation’s independence at the annual Chastain Park July 4th Parade. Come join the neighborhood as we parade down W. Wieuca Road in this treasured Chastain tradition!
We have a very exciting event planned, and hope to see you and your family stepping out in your patriotic best. Decorate your bikes, strollers, golf carts, and selves to score bragging rights for the adults – and prizes for the youngsters!
A panel of secret judges will be keeping an eye out for the following award categories:
Most Patriotic Attire
Best Decorated Stroller
Best Decorated Bike/Trike/Scooter/Wagon
Best Decorated Golf Cart
Remember, Best doesn’t necessarily mean Prettiest, so we encourage you to get as silly, creative and flamboyant as you want : )
We will cross the finish line at the end of the parade route with a Family Fun Zone, thanks to support from CPCA co-sponsors Kazoo Toys and Learning Express.
The grounds of the Chastain Pool House and the Chastain Tennis Center lawn will host fun family entertainment, including:
Double Bouncy Slide
Basketball Pop a Shot Hoops
Lawn Games (corn hole, giant jenga, ladder ball, ring toss and more!)
SnipIts Haircuts for Kids – located in the Fountain Oaks shopping center – will also be there with it’s Snip-its booth to provide some fun up-dos, patriotic hair coloring (think red, white, blue, sparkles), patriotic hair ribbons and temporary tattoos.
After all that excitement, you’ll want some refreshments, and we’ve got you covered. We have several food/treat vendors attending this year:
Chick Fil A
Your Pie Pizza (Buckhead)
The Funnel Cake Guys
King of Pops
11:00 – Parade lineup begins on W. Wieuca Rd. in front of the playground, near Dudley Rd.
11:30 – Parade Begins
11:45 – Parade Concludes at Chastain Park Pool
Please note, during the parade, W. Wieuca Road will be closed to vehicular traffic from approximately 11:00 – 12:30.
We encourage the neighborhood to come out and enjoy this Chastain Park tradition!
