CHASTAIN
PARK CIVIC ASSOCIATION
CPCA
plays a critical role in maintaining and improving our
quality of life in the following ways:
Advocacy
-
We
uphold the integrity of our community by advocating
on zoning and public policy matters.
-
We
provide leadership on difficult issues, such as public
works projects and negotiated the creation of the
Amphitheater Trust Funds to care for the park.
Security
-
We
provide a Park and Neighborhood Security Patrol that
works closely with law enforcement from both cities
and sends community-wide security alerts.
-
We
interface with local governments to improve public
safety and connectivity of neighborhoods through the
creation of new sidewalks, better signage, and traffic
calming measures, such as speed humps.
Public
Involvement
-
We
facilitate cooperative neighborhood communication,
encourage and assist in the creation of special interest
groups and hold town hall meetings.

We
promote public-private partnerships and improvements
for the park through such past projects as the construction
of the PATH, renovation of the Horse Park, restoration
of the children's playground, upgrades of the NYO
ball fields, revitalization of the swimming pool,
and the formation of the Conservancy to preserve and
restore the unmaintained and unmanaged greenspace
in the park, which amounts to roughly 15 - 20% of
the land in the park.
The
Chastain Park Civic Association supports and protects
our great neighborhoods and park. This could not
be done without the financial support of our neighbors.
Membership
is only $95 per calendar year. We hope you'll join
today and help us continue to improve on the quality of
life we enjoy living in this great community!
